Medical Surveillance Retainer Program
SOHS Retainer Program has been designed to accommodate the follow-up of employees who are found to be temporarily unfit during medical surveillance examinations.
In many cases it has been found that some employees have known chronic diseases where regular medication is required and promptly stop taking their chronic medication. Others are newly diagnosed chronic disease cases, who need to be motivated in taking their medication regularly to prevent future recurrence of periodical unfitness.
The retainer program also makes provision for taking responsibility of drawing up the necessary legal compliance documents for Brickworks and Mines according to the relevant Mine Health and Safety Act as well as ensuring legal compliancy according to the Occupational Health and Safety acts for Construction and Manufacturing.
The retainer program offers advice and assistance to management regarding legal requirements and compliance. The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations change regularly and the Occupational Health Practitioners undertake to keep management informed of new developments and their obligations regarding the legislation.
